Traditional integrated LRF solutions simply mount the LRF module on the outside of the objective lens, which can lead to misalignment between the laser beam and the thermal imaging system’s optical axis. For instance, when a hunter observes a target through the thermal imaging device, if the laser beam is misaligned, the measured distance may be inaccurate. This inaccuracy can affect hunters’ judgement and ballistic calculations, ultimately  impacting aiming and shooting precision.

Nocpix’s integrated LRF solution embeds the rangefinder module within the objective lens. This innovative design not only maintains a sleek and attractive appearance of our product but also addresses the optical axis issue. It ensures that the LRF laser beam almost aligns perfectly with the thermal imaging system’s optical axis, thereby enhancing measurement accuracy and reliability.

Compared to general embedded LRF solutions, our design truly integrates the rangefinder module and the infrared lens as a whole unit.  However, the ranging module occupies space in the lens, which reduces the sensor’s ability to capture infrared energy, affecting image performance.

To compensate for this loss, we use an extremely compact ranging module and employ lenses with an F0.9 aperture or a longer focal length (60mm) to enhance light intake, ensuring that image quality remains unaffected.

Testing data shows that under the same aperture conditions, our solution reduces optical loss by 35% compared to others (a 9% improvement in optical usage). For instance, when using F0.9 lenses, optical efficiency loss of our embedded LRF solution is 13%, while the losses of general embedded LRF solution exceed 20%, making the actual optical effect worse than that of a F1.0 lens.

Additionally, other solutions put the rangefinder module and control board into the lens altogether. However, when the rangefinder module is working, the control board keep generating heat, sometimes exceeding 40℃. The uneven heating may cause image irregularities. Whereas Nocpix’s solution applies advanced structural design to minimize the heat impact from the control board of LRF during operation, providing clear and even thermal image for professional hunters .

Our embedded LRF solution gives the product a shape closer to traditional scopes, while also ensuring better optical alignment. The innovative structural design puts the thermal imaging quality far ahead of other products. With a precise module that can detect distances up to 1200 meters, it provides hunters with accurate and reliable shooting assistance for long-range hunting.
